So who won the VP Debate? CNN & CNBC said Ryan, CBS said Biden & the spinmeisters on both sides predictably proclaimed their guy the winner. Krauthammer thought Biden was "disrespectful", Brit Hume said he looked like a "cranky old man debating a polite young one", John Hawkins, David Gergen & most others thought it was a draw on substance, but Biden hurt himself with that inappropriate, derisive smile & constant interruptions.

The only real news was when Biden threw the Intelligence community under the bus on the Benghazi fiasco, contradicting the sworn testimony of state department security officers, claiming the regime's misleading statements were the the CIA's fault & they "didn't know" about the ambassador's desperate pleas for more security. This is either a blatant lie or, at best, demonstrates complete incompetence. All in all, Biden scored points & may have slowed the GOP momentum, Ryan introduced himself to the nation as a serious, non-scary guy, each side rallied their base & probably very few minds were changed last night. At this point, the only clear winner appears to be Joe Biden's dentist.

Much bigger news this week was Romney's foreign policy speech at VMI Monday, where he Hammered Obama On Libya In A Big, Wide-Ranging Foreign Policy. He hit home the point that Obama's foreign policy of apology & appeasement is failing miserably - especially in the Middle East.
