We Must Win in 2016!

This is a very important year for the conservative movement in this country. This is the year we can begin the process to bring our country back to the ideals and policies that made America great.

Your participation will be needed as we go through the presidential primary process and then to the general election.

More than 30 US Senate seats are up for grabs and the entire House of Representatives. Though both Houses have let us down recently, we can remove their excuse for inaction by electing a conservative president.

With no one left to douse the fires.

Norman Thomas was right after all. He said "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened". Thomas was the Socialist candidate for President of the United States in 1940.

The political reality in America today is that the odds of any Republican winning the presidency is now remote. We are on the verge of single-party rule at the national level. Like Rome once did, America is now burning.

America's place as the economic leader of world is gone. America's hold on the highest standard of living in the world is gone. For the first time, America's next generation will be worse off than the preceding generation. And, most dangerous is that a majority of Americans now believe the best way to save America is to promote more government, more spending, more regulation and more entitlements. That majority also expects this to happen with a smaller private sector, fewer taxpayers, fewer small businesses and more and more government employees.

Do the math. Our current path guarantees the rapid decline of history's most powerful civilization and last great hope for individual freedom. Benjamin Franklin got it right: "When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." That day has come.

There is no way to minimize what is happening.

For those of us that still believe in individual freedom and free enterprise, what can be done?

This question has been asked by oppressed people all over the world and all through history. There was a time when oppressed people that wanted a better future for their children could come to America and become educated and pass on a brighter future to their kids. That's the story of my ancestors. Now where do they go?

There is no great continent left to tame in the name of freedom.

We have seen a great separation in this country between those who want to work for themselves and those that want government to provide for them.

The so-called lower class now has a standard of living that exceeds that of the middle class in many places on earth. Free housing, free food, free clothing and free phones are just a sign that some people just don't want to work and don't want to contribute to our society.

Many members of the so-called "middle class" are now part of the government. Teachers, police, city workers and government bureaucrats now make salaries and benefits far exceeding their peers in the private sector. Take teachers, for instance: 180 days of work a year, two months off in the summer, four full weeks off during the year, and Cadillac benefits. Here in my home county, the police union just signed an 8-year contract which effectively doubles the salaries of the world's already highest paid police force. Why would teachers or police object to big government?

If you combine people receiving government paychecks with people dependent on government for welfare and other benefits we can see why a majority of Americans want bigger government and Obama's vision for America. Their view even makes sense because no one bites the hand that feeds them.

But can this system of fewer taxpayers and bigger spending be sustained? That is the question. I believe it cannot. There are many people that don't believe an economic collapse is possible in America. They've been told that there are so many rich people that increasing their taxes will do the trick. Good luck with that one because even a 100% tax will not help. Socialist and Communist states in the past have not only taxed their rich, but have even confiscated everything they owned. In Cuba, the government took everything. It did not help their economy or their people.

So what do we do? First off, it is now clear that we HAVE to do something. We must find a place on earth where individualism is the prime directive. But is there such a place? If we can't find it, can we create it? Right now there are only questions. Clear answers will take some time.
